Stack Topples Over
Director sentenced to 15 months prison sentence suspended for 2 years

The Director of a timber importing company has been convicted of manslaughter after a court heard how a worker was crushed to death when a pile of poorly stacked hardwood packs toppled over on top of him.

Teglgaard Hardwood (UK) Limited, was fined £25,000 after both admitted the manslaughter of an 18-year-old labourer.
