Fire Warden Training
The aim of the course is to ensure delegates understand the basic chemistry of why fires start and what to do in an emergency situation with regard to fire and safely evacuating from the affected area.
At the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Identify the three elements needed to create a fire
- Understand the legal duties placed upon employer and employee
- Understand and be able to practice basic fire control measures
- Be fully conversant with their organisations fire procedure
- Understand the role of fire warden
- Be able to help people evacuate safely
- Be able to identify the various types of fire extinguisher
- Know which extinguisher to use and when and how to operate it
- Understand the toxic nature of smoke in confined spaces
Certificate - Health and Safety UK certificate valid for 3 years
Duration - Approximately Three hours (depending on numbers)
